Fundong–Bafmeng Road Advocacy
A Lifeline for Our Community
Introduction
The Fundong–Bafmeng road, only 15 kilometers long, remains one of the most neglected yet most important routes in our region. This short stretch connects the people of Bafmeng to essential services in Fundong — hospitals, schools, markets, and administrative offices. Yet its poor state has left families isolated, opportunities blocked, and development delayed.
Petition: Build the Fundong–Bafmeng Road
This road is more than asphalt. It is a lifeline. Without it, Bafmeng remains cut off, especially during the rainy season when travel becomes dangerous or impossible. With it, we open doors to education, healthcare, commerce, and cultural exchange.
Just a few kilometers beyond Bafmeng lies Lake Nyos, the site of one of Cameroon’s greatest tragedies. That disaster is a reminder that roads are not just about trade — they are about safety, preparedness, and resilience.
